Nobody's Leaving (Primal Records)
CHAD NEIRO - NOBODYS LEAVING - REMIXES BY OLIVIER DESMET & SPETTRO, ROB SLAC - CHILLIN More sweaty swampy Florida funk on this banging new one from the cool Chillin' imprint. Primo cuts galore on this bumping underground groover, with Chad Neiro from Connected delivering the main mix of "Nobody's Leaving", an extended jazz-flavored cut-up vocal track that's very high on the Swirl Peeps / Heather / ECB scale. On the flip Desmet & Spettro (aka the Wobbly Wankers) take this track deep into hypnotic tracky territory with some ace key stabs and piano twinkles. Label head Rob Slac works the vocal nicely with some warbly bass in his twisted stripped-down take. Fine piece of work from house music names old and new on this release!

I Like to Move review (Primal Records)
ROB SLAC - I LIKE TO MOVE - REMIXES BY JOHNNY FIASCO & Q-BURNS ABSTRACT MESSAGE - CHILLIN Orlando's Chillin label back in fine form with this study three-tracker featuring a pair of industry heavyweights on remix duties. It's all about Johnny Fiasco's massive B-side mix, a huge hypnotic tribal banger that is loaded with dancefloor energy and Fiasco's trademark groove - major peak-time builder here that'll blow up the room. The flip offers a techier, tweakier sounds with Q-Burns dropping an electro-based funk workout that veers towards late night territory. The original from Rob Slac is a smooth deep jammer with a bottom-heavy bassline and quality production.

Midnight Indian review
Tight four tracker from Orlando’s up-and-coming Chillin’ imprint. Perfect gear for the no-nonsense funky tech DJs, “Midnight Indian” is right up their with the west coast grooves of Detour, Nightshift and Doubledown, with four mixes all providing maximum dancefloor satisfaction. GRANT DELL’s mix isright in line with some of his best: thick, jacked-up dancefloor funk withplenty of dubbed out touches and flairs. Label heads Rob Slac and John Stuart each contribute a mix, withboth guys favoring a more stripped-down minimal cut-up style(a la Jacob London.) Original mix features some coolguitar washes over a tight clicky groove.
